The Challenge
As part of a hackathon, my team of two Senior UX designers were tasked to identify a design problem you’re facing currently as a UX designer and use Figma make to develop a solution.
How might we streamline research workflows to help designers and research teams collaborate faster—while enabling designers to step in and run research independently when needed?

Research Insights simplifies how UX designers turn research into action.
It’s built to guide teams through the entire research process from raw data to final deliverables. It's also built to ensure each step is clear, structured, and easy to navigate. Instead of spending days organizing and synthesizing qualitative data, designers can transform insights in minutes. With just one click, findings can be turned into presentation-ready slides or packaged into a structured, searchable project report for future use.
The vision is simple: remove the friction from research workflows and give designers a faster, more consistent way to create meaningful, high-impact insights.
By standardizing how research begins, it creates a clear, repeatable foundation that aligns teams from the start. This structure reduces downstream rework, eliminating the need to revisit or reinterpret findings later in the process.
The result is a workflow that is not only efficient, but also easy to understand making research outputs legible and actionable for both researchers and non-researchers alike.

Building Research Insights took over 187 iterations! Through this process, I learned how to move quickly while staying intentional, balancing speed with structure to create something that truly scales.
This work reinforced my approach to leading design: set clarity early, build systems that scale, and enable teams to act with confidence. It also validated that a strong foundation, clear workflows, defined patterns, and consistent outputs—reduces friction across the entire design lifecycle.
Throughout the process, I leveraged AI heavily to accelerate ideation and production. However, I quickly learned that over-reliance can lead to generic layouts, overlooked accessibility needs, and unintended changes that disrupt information hierarchy.
That’s where design expertise becomes critical. AI is powerful, but it requires thoughtful direction, refinement, and judgment.
The real strength comes from the combination:
AI brings speed and scale, while I bring structure, clarity, and craft.
Together, they create a more efficient, intentional, and high-quality design process.
This experience gave me the confidence to not only scale Research Insights, but to apply this approach to continue building a broader ecosystem of digital products with the same level of rigor and impact.
